Terms of Use and Conditions
Access to and use of i-TUTOR's free online resource is made available to you, the user, subject to the subsequent Terms of Use and Conditions. 
End-User Agreement:
The Terms of Use and Conditions mentioned throughout this document are subject to change at any time and without notice. However, any changes will be made available on this website and posted on the i-TUTOR website. As an end-user, you are responsible for making yourself aware of the Terms of Use and Conditions and any changes that may result as a consequence of incurred changes or modifications made to such. 

Non-Commercial Use Limitation
Any and all material, including but not limited to text and or images, found throughout i-TUTOR's website may not be copied, reproduced, republished, downloaded, posted, broadcasted and or transmitted in any way whatsoever outside your own personal non-commercial use. Editing, adapting, altering or engaging in work intended to express fraud or fraudulent activity and or libel is strictly forbidden under these Terms of Use and Conditions . 

Liability Limitation
You agree to the use of this website only for lawful intent and purposes. Infringing the rights of, or restricting or inhibiting the use of i-TUTOR's website by any other third-party is a Terms of Use and Conditions violation, leading to potential grounds for legal enforcement. Unlawful behavior may include but is not limited to, conduct which is designed strictly to harass or inconvenience any other person. The transmission of obscene or offensive content matter or disruption of a professional flow of dialogue within i-TUTOR's website, is understood to be one example of such unlawful behaviour. i-TUTOR reserves the right to seek legal enforcement if it feels violations of this degree constitute a serious offence. Those found to transgress the conditions as outlined by the unlawful behaviour clause will be removed from the website without notice and banned for all intents and purposes from this free resource and service. 

In no event will i-TUTOR be held liable for any damages including, without limitation, direct or indirect damages, or any other damages that may arise from the use or loss of use, data, or profits, by method of action or contract, negligence or other tortuous action, arising out of a direct use or as a consequence of the use of this website. i-TUTOR puts forward any and every possible effort to ensure that the functions and material, both qualitative and quantitative, contained in this site or the server that makes it available, are error, virus or bug free, that defects will stand to be corrected, or any subsequent representation of the full functionality, accuracy or reliability of the materials as affected by actions and consequences of action outside i-TUTOR's immediate control will be resolved within a reasonable time, but liability for such in the interim is non-binding. 

Trademarks
Names, images and logos identifying either i-TUTOR or any other third party or affiliate and their products and services are proprietary marks of their respective owners.

Regulations and Rules
All other rules and regulations that may be found on this website are made in accordance with these Terms of Use and Conditions . Precedence over the general Terms of Use and Conditions is a condition only met if there are grounds for conflict and if i-TUTOR specifically and clearly outlines such. Rules and regulations as may be provided by third-parties or i-TUTOR affiliates require further compliance and agreement; i-TUTOR does not endorse or is to be held liable for any such transactions between you, the user, and any third party, including but not limited to transactions between tutor and tutee. 

15 Minute Walk-away Policy
The underlying concept is straightforward and self-explanatory.

Tutees who employ i-TUTOR’s knowledgeable tutors, can make use of the “15 Minute Policy” during the first tutor-tutee meet.  If a tutee does not feel comfortable, or confident, that the tutor he or she has chosen does not or will not meet their required needs, they are free to walk way after 15 minutes, without being held financially responsible for the tutor’s time.

It should serve as a reminder that the “15 minutes” are but a suggested timeframe and overall general guideline.  If different agreements are reached between the two parties prior to the start of the initial tutoring session, i-TUTOR would subsequently not be in any position to formulate an objection.

i-TUTOR asks that registered tutors respect this policy.  Enforcement is nearly impossible - however, we ask all tutees to rate their tutors appropriately and accordingly through the online feedback mechanism, reflecting on their overall tutoring experience, if they feel salient concerns should be communicated.

           

Note:
Note: i-TUTOR reserves the right to determine who may or may not become a i-TUTOR on our website. Undergraduate and graduate students currently make up the majority of available tutors. In order to become a tutor one needs to have access to a valid university e-mail, in order to validate that they are in fact registered with the institution in question. Past university students, such as instructors, professors and otherwise, who are part of an i-TUTOR recognized institution, may also make their tutoring services available through the i-TUTOR website and service.

i-TUTOR is not responsible for the misrepresentation of such tutors or the information provided by them in accordance with such misrepresentation or fraudulent intent. We have strict policies governing who can and who cannot become a tutor through our tutor certification program. 

Tutees are and can be any one person seeking the services of a tutor. Such individuals use i-TUTOR as a free resource to find qualified tutors to suit their needs and requirements. These two parties are exclusive from each other and any contracts or conditions agreed upon to govern such transactions between tutor and tutee, verbal or otherwise, made between these two parties, are made outside of i-Tutor and its Terms of Use and Conditions , without limitation to future policies, terms of use and subsequent conditions. 

Enforceability
If any conditions as outlined in the Terms of Use and Conditions are found or determined by bodies having a legal capacity to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any province, state or country in which these Terms of Use and Conditions are intended to be effective, then removal by deletion of such clauses or conditions is to follow and the remaining Terms of Use and Conditions shall survive, remain in full force and effect and continue to have binding and enforceable capacity.

Governing Law
Ontario statutory law shall govern these Terms of Use and Conditions , and any disputes arising as a result of such Terms of Use and Conditions are to be resolved solely under the jurisdiction of such provincial laws, federal laws not excluded, as applicable.

Terms of Use and Conditions acceptance
Entrance to the i-TUTOR.ca website is made in accordance to the aforementioned Terms of Use and Conditions . If compliance is not met, we ask that you leave www.i-tutor.ca immediately. 

In addition, i-TUTOR asks that you are made aware of the following conditions. These conditions, which you must agree to in order to make use of this website, and the services as provided herein, are further contingent on the following: 

In order to make use of the i-TUTOR services and website, you thereby agree to be eighteen years (18) of age or older.  If you are under eighteen years (18) of age, i-TUTOR requires that you have your parents register on your behalf.  This is a mandatory component of the Terms of Use and Conditions, a violation of which will result in permanent removal from the website and all i-TUTOR services (upon discovery).
