All i-TUTOR members must, as part of a security checklist, be made aware and further acknowledge the risks associated with the tutor-tutee relationship and subsequent transaction. We ask that you review the following set of assertions and precautions as part of a proactive approach to ensuring a fun and safe i-TUTOR experience.
Minor
In order to make use of all i-TUTOR services, including the website and overall free resource, you must either be eighteen years (18) of age or older, or have parental consent. Furthermore, if you are eighteen (18) years of age or younger, i-TUTOR strongly suggests that your parents are at a minimum present during the first tutoring session.
Location
The place of meeting, to facilitate your tutor-tutee transaction should at least initially, be a public and relatively high-traffic establishment. Before a face-to-face appointment is made, it is advised that you at least speak over the phone or sufficiently establish rapport so that a level of comfort is reached.
For example, meet in a library or coffee shop. Appointments should be made during the day, and always let someone else know of your whereabouts.

Conditions
Every tutor on the i-TUTOR website is unique. While there may be a higher concentration of tutors in one particular area, within that subject of specialization, tutors distinguish themselves based on appropriate competitive advantages. Check the hourly rate, the university attended, area of education and their specialization, as well as their available location. i-TUTOR reminds you, that all agreements verbally entered into between tutors and tutees are enforceable contracts, the conditions of which are defined by the sole parties to the contract.
Confidentiality
Personal information is an extremely sensitive area, that may cause a certain level of concern to some i-TUTOR users and members. To the best of your ability, confidential information should be kept private and a personal policy of nondisclosure of such, strictly abided by. However, the aforementioned is up to your sole discretion and i-TUTOR is by no means responsible for any liability or losses that may be incurred as a result of privacy theft or exploitation of such data and information.
